“Babies tend to fall when they walk. The reasons are as follows:
1. Knock knee: Since the gap between knees is close, babies may fall during walking due to knocking knees. In general, their knees will separate starting from 4 years old. However, they should avoid bad postures.
2. Toe walking: Toe walking causes the babies to put their weight on the forefoot, which is one of the reasons why they trip over easily. During their toddler year, it is common to walk on toes, so the parents do not need to worry about it. When choosing the shoes, selecting mid-calf shoes is recommended to prevent toe walking.
3. In-toeing: When the babies are walking in-toed, the front parts of the shoes may collide with each other, which causes them to fall. Improper posture should be avoided and out-toed activities (breaststroke and cycling) are recommended.”
